Not my best moment

I called the CIS office today. Hans' fingerprints came back fine today but mine were rejected because I forgot to fill in my birthdate. Me, the compulsive check-everything-a-million-times-girl. How did I react? I burst into tears on the phone with CIS lady. She assured me that it wouldn't take 5 weeks again, that she already sent the card back with my birthdate and will see if she can forward my prints again via email with a high resolution copy to make it faster. Either way she promised it wouldn't be long.

I feel so incredibly stupid right now. All I want to do is cry but I can't because I'm at work.

I am so sorry. Don't get down. I know it is extremely difficult not to be too sad. It could have happened to anyone. Tears though are very good and sometimes can get you quicker responses with CIS. Sometimes it makes you more human to them. Keep your chin up.

There is always something that will go wrong. For our medical, the doctor had forgotten to ask for some blood tests. He realized this three weeks after we had went for our blood tests and got our results. We went again and had to wait another three weeks for the second batch of results...

Good luck,

Sandra

I am glad you are feeling better. I had lots of those moments. Sent CIS a personal check instead of a money order, sent the check for the wrong amount of money, had one document notarized incorrectly, so had to drive 3 hours each way to Tallahassee twice to get things to the Vn consulate in time, etc. etc. We have all been there. I am glad you are feeling better.
